Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how Victory Plus, Inc. (“Victory+”, “Victory+ News”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you access or use Victory+ News—the stats-first, second-screen companion to Victory+—including our websites, mobile web experiences, email newsletters, push notifications, social media pages we control, and interactive data modules and embedded widgets (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or a prominent notice within the Services before the changes take effect and update the “Effective date” above. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes your consent to the revised Policy.

1) Who We Are and Scope

This Policy covers Victory+ News and related second-screen modules, including Sportradar-powered widgets and links/deep links to Victory+. Victory+ and Victory+ News maintain coordinated but distinct products. Where we share systems and processes (e.g., account, analytics, ad tech), this Policy explains how data flows within our ecosystem.


2) Key Definitions

  • Personal Information / Personal Data: Information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to a particular consumer, device, or household.
  • Services: Victory+ News websites, mobile web, widgets, newsletters, notifications, and official social media pages we control.
  • Service Providers: Vendors processing data on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics, fraud prevention, customer support).
  • Partners: Sports leagues/teams and data providers (e.g., Sportradar), marketing, distribution, and advertising partners.
  • Cookies / Pixels / SDKs: Technologies that store or access information on a device to support functionality, analytics, personalization, and advertising.

3) Information We Collect

We collect information (a) directly from you, (b) automatically, (c) from affiliates/partners, and (d) from publicly available or social sources.

  • Identifiers — name, email, username, account credentials, zip/postal code, and user IDs.
  • Commercial & Interaction Data — content/modules you view, teams/leagues/players you follow, articles opened, newsletter engagement, purchases (e.g., affiliate tickets/merch) and transactional metadata (amounts are typically processed by our payment providers).
  • Payment Data — limited payment details (tokenized by our processors) when you purchase paid offerings (where available).
  • Internet/Technical Data — IP address, device type, OS, browser, app version, language, time zone, referrers, crash logs, session IDs, screen/page views, session duration, clickstream, HTTP headers.
  • Usage & Diagnostics — interactions with Sportradar widgets (e.g., box scores, live trackers), feature use, latency, error rates, campaign attribution.
  • Geolocation — coarse location (e.g., zip/postal code, city, region) to support rights/blackouts, standings, or local modules; precise location only if you opt in.
  • Inferences — interest segments (e.g., “Stars fan,” “NHL hard-core”), content preferences, and propensity scores for personalization and recommendations.
  • Social/UGC — handles, comments, likes if you engage with our official pages or tag us.
  • Children/Minors: Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided Personal Information, contact us and we will delete it.

4) Sources of Personal Information

  • You — account registration, newsletter sign-ups, settings, surveys, promotions.
  • Automatic Collection — Cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, logs.
  • Affiliates — Victory+, APMC, and related properties (e.g., viewing or follow signals where you connect or use shared account features).
  • Partners — sports/data providers (e.g., Sportradar), analytics, marketing, distribution, and ad partners.
  • Social Platforms — if you interact with our official accounts or authorize sharing.

5) How We Use Personal Information

We use information to:

  1. Provide and operate the Services — load pages/modules, render live data, maintain and improve performance.
  2. Personalize — reorder feeds (“For You”), surface relevant leagues/teams/players/stats, and tailor modules (e.g., win probability, standings, leaders).
  3. Communicate — send service messages, product updates, newsletters, and—where permitted—offers and promotions (you may unsubscribe at any time).
  4. Measure & Improve — analyze engagement, diagnose issues, test features, and develop new functionality.
  5. Ad Support & Sponsorships — help target and measure advertising, branded modules (“Presented by …”), sponsorship effectiveness, and affiliate attribution.
  6. Security & Integrity — detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
  7. Compliance — meet legal obligations, enforce policies, and respond to lawful requests.
  8. Business Operations — internal reporting, audits, and (if applicable) corporate transactions (merger, acquisition, or asset transfer).

6) Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, pixels, web beacons, and SDKs to:

  • keep you signed in;
  • remember preferences (e.g., teams followed, consent settings);
  • perform analytics and diagnostics;
  • personalize content; and
  • support ad delivery and measurement.

You can manage cookies in your browser or device settings. If you block certain technologies, features may not work as intended. We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.


7) When We Disclose Information

We may disclose Personal Information as follows:

  • Service Providers/Vendors — hosting, storage, support, analytics, payments, communications, security, fraud prevention, A/B testing.
  • Data & Content Partners — e.g., Sportradar to power stats widgets and related diagnostics.
  • Advertising/Marketing Partners — ad networks, demand-side platforms, measurement and brand-lift providers, social platforms, newsletter and campaign tools.
  • Sports & Media Partners — NHL, MLB, and other leagues/teams and rights-holders, where necessary to fulfill our Services and partnership commitments.
  • Affiliates — Victory+, APMC, and controlled entities for platform functionality, cross-surface personalization, and consistent user experience.
  • Business Transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale/transfer of assets.
  • Legal/Compliance — to comply with law, protect rights, safety, and security, and enforce our agreements.
  • With Your Direction/Consent — for example, linking accounts or participating in promotions.

We may share de-identified or aggregated information that does not identify you.


8) Selling/Sharing for Targeted Advertising

As defined by certain U.S. state privacy laws, we may sell or share (for cross-context behavioral/targeted advertising) online identifiers and usage data with advertising and analytics partners, and we may disclose information to league and team partners and other business partners (including those supporting loyalty or affiliate programs).
Opt-out: You may opt out of selling/sharing by visiting Settings → Consent Preferences (where available) or contacting us (see Consumer Rights). Opting out will not stop contextual advertising.


9) Consumer Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah) and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Know/Access the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we collected;
  • Delete Personal Information we collected from you (subject to exceptions);
  • Correct inaccurate Personal Information;
  • Opt-out of sale or sharing of Personal Information;
  • Limit the use/disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information (where applicable); and
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

How to exercise:

Identity verification: We will take reasonable steps to verify your request (and your agent’s authority, if applicable) and respond consistent with law.
Appeal: If we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@victoryplus.com with “Appeal” in the subject line.


10) International Users (EEA/UK)

For individuals in the EEA/UK, Victory+ is a Controller under the GDPR/UK GDPR.

Legal bases include: legitimate interests, consent, contract performance, and legal obligations. We process data primarily in Canada and the United States and use appropriate safeguards consistent with GDPR/UK GDPR requirements.

11) Data Security and Retention

We implement reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. No internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.

We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations; resolve disputes; and enforce agreements. Criteria include data type, consent/withdrawal, legal grounds, objection, and legal retention requirements.


12) Your Choices

  • Email Marketing — unsubscribe via the link in our emails or in account settings.
  • Push Notifications — manage in your device/browser settings.
  • Cookies/Tracking — manage via browser/device settings and our consent tools (where offered).
  • Precise Location — off by default; enable/disable in your device/app settings (where offered).
  • Personalization & Ads — manage via Settings → Consent Preferences (where offered) or contact us.

13) Third-Party Sites and Services

Our Services may link to third-party websites or services (e.g., ticketing, merch, social, sponsor modules). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.


14) Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child provided Personal Information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.


15) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be announced via email and/or a prominent notice in the Services prior to becoming effective. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the latest version.

California Notice at Collection (Summary)

We collect the categories described in Section 3 for the purposes in Section 5. We sell and/or share certain online identifiers and usage data for targeted advertising and analytics as described in Section 8. You may opt out via Settings → Consent Preferences or by contacting us (see Section 9). We retain information as described in Section 11.


Disclosures for Sponsorships and Betting/Fantasy Context

Where permitted by law and policy, Victory+ News may present sponsored data modules (e.g., “Stat of the Game,” “Momentum Meter”) and limited betting/fantasy context (odds, comparisons). These placements may involve ad tech partners that set/read cookies or use other identifiers for ad delivery and measurement. You can manage related preferences in Settings → Consent Preferences (where available) and through your browser/device settings.
